Nayarit’s 2027 gubernatorial race remains wide open ten months before the June 6 election, with no candidate exceeding low-20s implied probability on Polymarket. Multiple aspirants—including Pavel Jarero Velázquez, Julieta Mejía Ibáñez, Geraldine Ponce Méndez, Gustavo Ayón Aguirre, and Enrique Díaz López—are still navigating internal party selection processes, primarily within Morena and allied groups. Recent state-level surveys from early 2026 have shown shifting leads among these figures rather than consolidation behind any single contender. Traders therefore price the field as fragmented, reflecting the absence of a clear frontrunner, ongoing nomination negotiations, and limited name recognition outside core party bases. Primary or coalition decisions expected later this year could quickly consolidate support and widen gaps.
