Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a moderating marine layer and onshore flow keeping Los Angeles highs in the low-to-mid 80s on August 30, aligning with the market's concentration around 80–83°F outcomes. Coastal stations such as LAX are expected near 81°F under sunny conditions after morning low clouds, while slightly warmer downtown readings near 88°F remain possible but less likely to set the daily peak. This follows several days of elevated temperatures exceeding 85–90°F, with the shift driven by strengthening sea breezes and reduced offshore warming. Historical August 30 averages near 77°F provide context, though current guidance shows modest above-normal warmth without extreme heat. Updated model runs and afternoon observations will refine the exact maximum before resolution.
