Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a typical early-September marine layer pattern for Los Angeles on September 4, with morning low clouds and fog near the coast clearing to mostly sunny skies and highs generally in the mid-70s to low-80s °F. Onshore southwest flow and the persistent marine influence are expected to cap daytime warming, keeping temperatures close to the 76.7 °F climatological average for the date while limiting the risk of stronger heat. This stable setup with minimal model spread supports the even distribution of trader probabilities across the 70–79 °F bins, as small variations in cloud clearance timing or exact measurement site can shift the daily maximum within that narrow range. Updated NWS briefings through the morning of September 3 will provide the final calibration ahead of market resolution.
