Persistent high pressure and southerly flow are sustaining elevated overnight minimums across north Texas, with National Weather Service and model guidance projecting a September 6 low in Dallas between the upper 70s and low 80s under mostly clear skies. Limited radiative cooling and dew points near 70°F are preventing the sharper drops typical of early-September climatology, where the average low sits near 74°F. Recent days have featured similar warm minima around 76–80°F amid the ongoing heatwave, reinforcing trader consensus around the 78–83°F range while leaving lower outcomes improbable absent an unexpected frontal passage before resolution.
