**The overwhelming 99.1% market-implied probability on an 82–83°F low for Dallas on September 9 reflects official National Weather Service verification that the minimum reached exactly 82°F at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport around 6:25 a.m. CDT.** This value sits 11°F above the 1991–2020 climatological normal of 71°F and aligns with a broader late-summer heat pattern, as daytime highs hit 101°F (tying a record) under clear skies and light southerly flow that limited nocturnal cooling. With the date now passed, traders are simply confirming the authoritative NWS climatological report rather than forecasting. The only realistic scenarios that could shift resolution involve measurement discrepancies across official Dallas-area stations or post-verification data revisions, though neither appears likely given the consistency of preliminary observations.
