Incumbent Republican Maria Elvira Salazar seeks re-election in Florida’s 27th congressional district, where major forecasters rate the seat Likely Republican. The district’s partisan voting index favors the GOP by roughly six points, aligning with consistent Republican performance in recent cycles. Salazar faces primary challengers, while Democrats field multiple candidates ahead of the August 18 primaries. Early positioning and the district’s underlying lean contribute to the current trader consensus favoring the Republican nominee at 70.5 percent versus 30 percent for the Democrat, though the race remains subject to shifts from candidate recruitment or national conditions before the November 2026 general election.
