Mary Miller's commanding position in the IL-15 House race stems from the district's strong Republican lean in rural central Illinois, her status as incumbent, and decisive primary victories in March 2026. She secured 73.6% in the Republican primary against two challengers, while Democrat Jennifer Todd advanced with 45.8% of her primary vote. Forecasters including the Cook Political Report, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and Decision Desk HQ rate the seat solid or safe Republican. Miller maintains a substantial fundraising edge, with over $800,000 cash on hand compared to Todd's limited resources. The November 3 general election outcome could shift only in the event of a late-breaking scandal, health issue, or unprecedented national political realignment.
