Kentucky's 6th congressional district remains an open seat after Republican incumbent Andy Barr retired to seek a U.S. Senate nomination. The May 19 primaries produced Republican nominee Ralph Alvarado, backed by Trump, and Democratic nominee Zach Dembo, a former prosecutor who topped a crowded field. The district carries a Cook Partisan Voting Index of R+7 and delivered Trump a roughly 15-point margin in 2024, anchoring the Republican edge in trader pricing. Lexington's urban core and recent leftward shifts have drawn Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee attention and early polling that showed competitive general-election matchups. These factors sustain the implied probability gap while leaving room for national conditions or turnout patterns to influence the November outcome.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
