Current National Weather Service guidance and ensemble consensus forecast overnight lows in the mid-70s (74–77°F range) for Austin on September 4, driven by persistent southerly flow, elevated dew points near 70–74°F, and limited radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies with scattered shower chances. A dissipating tropical disturbance has maintained high humidity and weak steering winds, suppressing stronger nighttime drops typical of clearer, drier September nights (historical average low ~71°F). Minor differences in model cloud cover, wind speed, or exact timing of any clearing differentiate the closely matched 74–77°F and adjacent buckets, while the spread in trader-implied odds reflects uncertainty ahead of the next model update cycle.
