Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources converge on a Seattle minimum near 55–56°F for September 12, with persistent marine-layer stratus, light northerly winds, and patchy drizzle limiting nocturnal radiational cooling under the Pacific Northwest’s typical autumn onshore flow. This setup keeps surface temperatures anchored close to the seasonal climatological low of 53.7°F while suppressing deeper cold-air advection or clear-sky drops that could push readings into the low 50s or below. Trader consensus around the 54–57°F brackets reflects these stable conditions and the low historical variance for the date, though any late-evening clearing or stronger southerly shift could alter the final official reading at Sea-Tac.
