Following Slovenia's March 22 parliamentary election, which produced a hung parliament with Robert Golob's Freedom Movement holding 29 seats against Janez Janša's Slovenian Democratic Party at 28, trader consensus heavily favors Janša at 73% implied probability due to the right-leaning bloc's stronger path to a 46-seat majority. The April 10 election of Resni.ca leader Zoran Stevanović as National Assembly speaker, backed by SDS and New Slovenia (led by Jernej Vrtovec) votes, signals emerging right-wing cooperation despite a short-lived "third bloc" by NSi allies, Democrats (Anže Logar), and Resni.ca. Golob's proposed national unity government was rejected, leaving his left bloc at 40 seats; President Nataša Pirc Musar consultations loom as the key next step amid stalled talks.
