**Current forecasts from multiple models indicate a mild overnight minimum around 11–12°C for Munich on September 18, driven by moderate westerly flow and limited radiative cooling under partly to mostly cloudy skies.** This aligns with the climatological average low of 9.8°C but sits above recent cooler analogs. The closely matched market probabilities for 6–8°C versus higher bins reflect genuine model uncertainty in exact minimum timing, cloud cover evolution, and boundary-layer mixing. Key differentiating factors include the strength of nocturnal longwave radiative loss under clearer pockets (favoring sharper drops toward single digits), surface wind speeds that enhance turbulent mixing and limit cooling, and any subtle advection of slightly cooler continental air versus retained maritime warmth. Upcoming model runs and updated observations from the German Weather Service (DWD) will likely narrow the range before resolution. Historical records show September 18 lows as low as 0.5°C, but current synoptic patterns lack the blocking high or clear, calm conditions needed for such extremes. Trader sentiment aggregates these variables into skin-in-the-game odds centered on near-term forecast consensus.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eddm
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
