The Quebec general election on October 5 features an open seat in Vanier-Les Rivières after the retirement of the incumbent CAQ MNA, creating a competitive three-way contest among Coalition Avenir Québec candidate Françoise Faverjon-Fortin, Parti conservateur du Québec nominee Patrick Paquet, and Parti Québécois contender Stéphanie Martin. Recent riding projections from mid-September place these parties within a few points of each other in the mid-20s to low-30s percent range, reflecting broader Quebec City trends of PCQ gains, residual CAQ support, and PQ resurgence amid provincial polling volatility. The Liberals' Charles Hudon trails further back. With the nomination period closing on September 17, local campaigning on fiscal priorities, governance experience, and regional issues could shift voter preferences before advance polls and final counts.
