Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Miami on September 23 points to a high near 88°F amid a 70-90% chance of showers and thunderstorms, driven by typical late-September diurnal convection and abundant tropical moisture. Afternoon cloud cover and rainfall timing create the main uncertainty differentiating the closely matched 84-85°F and 86-87°F bins, as earlier or heavier storms can suppress peak readings while delayed convection allows brief warming. Light southwest winds and high humidity further modulate surface heating. Traders appear to weigh these variables heavily, with lower-probability tails reflecting historical variability in storm initiation and model spread on exact timing. Updated NHC and local forecast discussions through September 22 will likely refine the resolution outlook.
