Recent forecasts from Russian meteorological services and international models point to a high of 12–13°C in Moscow on September 7, driven by northwesterly winds advecting cooler maritime air behind a frontal passage, combined with persistent cloud cover and light precipitation that limits daytime heating. This setup follows several days of unsettled conditions, keeping temperatures well below the long-term September 7 average high of 18°C. Model consensus favors a narrow range around these values, with limited upside potential absent a rapid shift in steering flow. Trader-implied probabilities, led by 12°C at 41.5% followed by 13°C and 11°C, align with this evidence-based outlook while incorporating residual uncertainty in exact peak timing and local microclimatic effects. Updated model runs and official briefings from the Hydrometeorological Center remain key near-term catalysts.
