**Current National Weather Service and local forecasts for Denver on September 20 point to a high in the low-to-mid 70s amid increasing clouds, scattered thunderstorms, and a modest cooling trend.** A frontal system and associated moisture are expected to limit afternoon solar heating compared with recent days in the low-to-mid 80s, with models showing variable timing of cloud build-up and precipitation that directly affects peak readings. NWS guidance lists a 74°F high with 40% storm chances, while other outlooks range 70–77°F depending on exact steering winds and instability. These factors explain the tight market split between 70–71°F and 74–75°F bins, as small shifts in cloud cover or storm timing can alter the maximum by several degrees. Historical September averages near 77°F provide context, but the present synoptic pattern favors slightly suppressed values. Updated model runs and NWS briefings ahead of the date will refine probabilities.
