Persistent marine layer and onshore southwesterly flow are capping San Francisco temperatures for September 3, with National Weather Service guidance and ensemble models showing a daily maximum near 64–68 °F amid mostly cloudy skies and a 30–50 % chance of light rain or drizzle. This setup, driven by a weak mid-week disturbance, favors the market’s leading 68–69 °F and 70–71 °F bins by limiting afternoon solar heating and keeping dew points elevated. Historical September averages near 70 °F provide context, yet the current pattern’s cloud cover and timing of any partial clearing introduce narrow uncertainty that could shift the peak by 1–2 °F depending on the exact hour of maximum insolation. Updated NWS and high-resolution model runs tomorrow morning will refine the range ahead of resolution.
