Forecast models from sources including the National Weather Service equivalents and European centers show a cold front advancing across Buenos Aires on September 3, with southwesterly winds and widespread cloud cover promoting radiational cooling overnight. This follows warmer northerly flow on September 2, setting up a sharp drop that places the expected minimum near 9–10 °C according to consensus guidance. Trader emphasis on the 9 °C-or-below outcome at 48 % reflects model agreement on the timing of the frontal passage and modest precipitation, while the 19 °C-or-higher bin at 35 % captures residual uncertainty if clearing occurs earlier than projected. Historical early-September minima average near 9 °C, providing climatological context for the current positioning.
