Recent forecasts from the China Meteorological Administration and international models indicate Shanghai will reach a maximum of 28–29°C on September 9 under partly cloudy skies and moderate northerly winds of 4–6 m/s. This aligns with the early-September climatological average high near 28°C and follows a cooling trend after late-summer warmth. Model consensus shows limited spread, with minimal precipitation risk and no significant frontal or tropical influences expected to alter temperatures. The tight clustering of market-implied probabilities around these two outcomes reflects traders’ assessment of stable atmospheric conditions and the narrow uncertainty range typical of short-range temperature forecasts issued 24 hours ahead.
