Forecasts from the National Weather Service and supporting models indicate overnight lows in Austin on September 13 will likely settle in the mid to upper 70s°F under continued southerly flow and elevated dew points near 75°F, limiting radiative cooling. Persistent high pressure and warm advection have kept recent minima well above the 1991–2020 average low of 68.7°F for the date. Trader sentiment remains dispersed across bins because small shifts in cloud cover, wind speed, or boundary-layer mixing—common variables in late-summer subtropical regimes—could push the minimum a few degrees either side of 77–80°F. Model consensus shows low precipitation risk and steady southerly winds of 5–10 mph through the night, with the next significant update expected from the evening NWS forecast package.
