Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models indicate a low near 65°F at Los Angeles International Airport on August 31, shaped by moderate marine layer influence, southwest winds around 15 mph, and gradual easing from prior high pressure. Trader consensus clusters tightly around the 66–71°F bins because small variations in overnight radiational cooling, sea breeze timing, and marine layer depth can shift the minimum by a degree or two within typical August climatology near 65°F. Limited model spread and absence of strong signals for extremes below 62°F or above 72°F keep probabilities balanced, with resolution hinging on the precise hourly minimum recorded at the official station.
