John Larson at 38.5%, reflecting Bronin's recent momentum amid a generational change push against the 77-year-old congressman. On April 24, Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam, five city council members, three state representatives, and the local Democratic chair endorsed Bronin, bolstering his support in the district's urban core. Larson countered with a key UNITE HERE labor union endorsement on April 17, leveraging his establishment ties in a race where no Connecticut House incumbent has ever lost a primary. Competitive fundraising and Larson's strong March internal poll keep it tight, with independent polls, additional endorsements, or debates ahead of the August 11 primary poised to create separation.
