Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a cold front advancing into the Front Range, increasing cloud cover and shower chances on September 24 and suppressing maximum temperatures to the upper 60s or low 70s. This shift follows several days of warmer, sunnier conditions that allowed highs near 80°F earlier in the week. Ensemble forecasts show modest spread around 66–72°F, with precipitation probabilities near 50% during peak heating hours further limiting insolation and surface warming. Traders appear to weigh these cooling influences against climatological September averages near 75°F, keeping the tightest probabilities on 66–71°F bins while awaiting the next round of high-resolution model updates and NWS forecast discussions.
