National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model guidance point to a Tuesday high near 94°F in Houston under mostly sunny skies, southeast flow, and a stalled high-pressure ridge that favors strong insolation. The tight spread between the 94-95°F and 92-93°F bins reflects modest uncertainty in afternoon convective timing and coverage—scattered storms could trim peak heating by a degree or two, while clearer conditions would allow temperatures to reach the upper end of the mid-90s. Heat indices near 103–107°F underscore the humid airmass, but resolution hinges on the precise maximum recorded at official stations rather than feels-like values. Updated model runs and NWS briefings through the morning will be the key near-term catalysts for any shift in trader positioning.
