Official National Weather Service forecasts for Miami on September 10 project a daytime high near 89°F under partly sunny skies with a 60-70% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. This consensus, reflected in the close market-implied odds between the 88-89°F and 90-91°F bins, stems from typical late-summer steering patterns with easterly flow and abundant tropical moisture that favor scattered convection by midday or early afternoon. Such storms often suppress peak temperatures by increasing cloud cover and evaporative cooling before the daily maximum is reached. Model runs show limited spread in timing of initiation, with historical September climatology supporting highs of 89-90°F as the most probable range absent a drier airmass or delayed sea-breeze trigger. Updated NHC and local office guidance through the next 48 hours will refine whether earlier or more widespread activity tilts resolution toward the lower bin.
