Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon have intensified in recent weeks, with forces maintaining control over captured ridges and conducting strikes plus controlled demolitions in the Tyre district, including villages such as Mansouri. A major escalation occurred around September 10–11 when Israel destroyed an extensive Hezbollah tunnel network under the Ali al-Taher ridge near Nabatieh, registering seismic activity and prompting further artillery and airstrikes across the south. These actions align with Israel's stated aim of eliminating Hezbollah infrastructure near the border and within its self-described security zone. While evacuation orders and strikes have previously targeted Tyre city itself, current reporting shows activity concentrated in surrounding areas rather than a ground entry into the urban center. Ongoing violations of the fragile truce, Israeli elections scheduled for late October, and Hezbollah responses remain key variables that could alter the pace of operations.
