**Incumbent Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff holds a consistent polling lead of 4–9 points over Republican nominee Rep. Mike Collins in the 2026 Georgia U.S. Senate race, with recent surveys placing Ossoff near or at 50% support.** Georgia law requires a majority for an outright November victory; otherwise the top two advance to a December 1 runoff. Primary season concluded with Ossoff unopposed on the Democratic side and Collins securing the GOP nomination after a June runoff. Current head-to-head polling averages and recent results (including InsiderAdvantage and others through mid-August) show limited third-party support and Ossoff’s advantages in fundraising and suburban/independent voter backing. Traders view these factors, combined with the two-candidate structure and Ossoff’s position above or near the majority threshold, as making a first-round outright winner highly probable under the prevailing conditions.
