This aligns with verified thermometer readings from key monitoring stations like Heathrow and Kew, standard for UK regional records, amid post-marathon weather patterns after early April's anomalous 26.6°C heat. While forecast models had hinted at highs near 18–20°C, actual atmospheric conditions including light winds and partial cloud cover capped warming. Revisions to final extremes are possible but rare absent equipment anomalies; traders await Met Office's end-of-day validation.
