Recent Environment Canada guidance and converging model runs point to a high of 21–22 °C for Toronto on September 18 under mostly sunny skies and northerly flow. High pressure near 1023–1024 hPa and dew points in the low teens support modest daytime warming without significant moisture or instability, keeping the temperature close to the late-summer climatological average. Trader positioning favors 21 °C (50.5 % implied) over 22 °C (31 %) because several guidance suites, including GFS-derived products, cluster near 20.5–21.5 °C once boundary-layer mixing and cloud cover are accounted for. Any late upward revision in the official forecast or a shift to lighter winds could quickly elevate the 22 °C contract, while persistent northeasterly flow would reinforce the current 21 °C lead.
