Trader consensus strongly favors a 72-73°F low in Atlanta on September 10 due to official National Weather Service observations recording an overnight minimum of 71-72°F under mostly clear skies, light southwest winds, and high pressure that limited radiational cooling. This aligns with late-summer climatology, where average lows hover near 67°F but recent warm advection from the Gulf kept surface temperatures elevated, as confirmed by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport data showing a daily minimum near 71°F. Model guidance issued days earlier had converged on this range with minimal spread. A shift in reported station readings or revised quality-control adjustments could theoretically alter resolution, though such changes remain improbable given consistent multi-source verification.
