Recent National Weather Service guidance points to a Thursday high near 92°F in Dallas amid a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms driven by moisture from a developing Gulf system. This setup favors partly sunny skies with potential for early cloud cover or scattered storms to cap temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s, below the 93°F seasonal average. Key variables include storm timing and coverage—morning or widespread activity would suppress the peak, while delayed or isolated cells could allow brief clearing and readings toward 94–95°F. Elevated humidity and southeast winds further modulate heat indices and boundary-layer mixing, sustaining the broad distribution of market-implied probabilities across the 88–95°F range.
