Recent National Weather Service guidance and model consensus point to a partly cloudy setup over Denver on September 12, 2026, with southeast winds of 10–15 mph and only a 20% chance of afternoon convection, supporting a daytime high near the long-term average of 80°F but tempered by recent upstream cooling. Persistent high pressure and modest moisture limit strong destabilization, while variable cloud cover and light mixing create a narrow range of possible maxima centered on 82–85°F. Traders assign the highest implied probabilities to the 82–83°F and 84–85°F bins because small differences in afternoon insolation or boundary-layer mixing can easily shift the peak by 2–3°F, consistent with historical variability on this date when highs have ranged from the mid-70s to low 90s. Updated model runs and surface observations through midday will refine these odds.
