Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Los Angeles on September 13 project a high near 80°F at coastal sites like LAX, driven by a persistent marine layer producing morning low clouds and fog that clear by midday under southwest winds of 10-15 mph. This onshore flow and seasonal sea surface temperatures moderate daytime heating, aligning with climatological September averages of 76-82°F and preventing stronger warming. Model consensus across GFS and ECMWF runs supports limited afternoon insolation, keeping the highest temperature in the 78-81°F range favored by traders at 91% combined implied probability. Final NWS updates and real-time observations tomorrow will resolve the exact peak before market settlement.
