Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for Denver on September 14 indicate a high in the mid-to-upper 80s, driven by southerly flow advecting warmer air ahead of a weak trough, with afternoon cloud cover and isolated thunderstorms likely capping peak readings. Model guidance clusters around 86–88°F, consistent with the near-even market-implied odds for the 86–87°F and 88–89°F bins, while the 84–85°F outcome reflects downside risk from earlier convection or thicker cloud decks. This setup sits several degrees above the 1991–2020 climatological average high of roughly 80°F, with resolution hinging on the precise timing and coverage of any thunderstorms that could suppress the daily maximum. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will likely narrow the range.
