Current meteorological observations and short-range forecast models from official Chinese weather services indicate Shenzhen reached a daily maximum of exactly 34°C on September 12, producing the market's near-certain 100% implied probability for that outcome. September climatology for the region features typical highs around 30–32°C under subtropical high pressure, but recent atmospheric patterns with reduced cloud cover and light southerly flow have supported a modest upward anomaly. Real-time station data and model consensus show no credible pathway to 35°C or higher before evening cooling, while lower thresholds remain improbable given confirmed afternoon readings. Traders' strong consensus reflects this alignment between verified measurements and resolution criteria rather than longer-term projections.
