Official National Weather Service guidance for Houston on September 12, 2026, calls for a high near 94°F amid mostly sunny skies, south winds of 5–10 mph, and a 50% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms, with heat indices reaching 105°F. This aligns with climatological norms for mid-September, when average highs hover near 90°F but frequently climb into the mid-90s under persistent southerly flow and high humidity. Model consensus and recent observations support a peak in the 93–96°F range, with limited upside potential from stronger heating before any convection develops, concentrating trader focus on the 94–97°F outcome bins. Updated forecasts and real-time observations will refine resolution as the afternoon progresses.
