Recent National Weather Service and NOAA model guidance points to a moderating airmass over the Northeast, with ensemble forecasts clustering around a daily high of 76-77°F in New York City for September 14, supporting the market's strongest implied probability. A northwesterly flow behind a weak cold front is limiting southerly moisture and heat advection, while clear skies and moderate mixing depths favor efficient daytime warming without excessive buildup. Historical September climatology for the region centers near 75°F, providing a baseline that reinforces current consensus amid typical late-summer variability. Minor uncertainties remain in boundary-layer details and any residual frontal effects, with fresh model updates from the Global Forecast System expected within the next 24 hours likely to refine resolution criteria.
