Recent forecasts from the UK Met Office and other models indicate a maximum of 24–25°C in London on September 14 under partly cloudy skies and moderate southwesterly flow, aligning with the market's near-even split between those two outcomes. Mild conditions stem from limited daytime heating due to cloud cover and the absence of strong warm-air advection, keeping values close to seasonal norms adjusted for early autumn. Traders appear to weigh model consensus on peak timing and exact cloud breaks, with 24°C edging ahead on current runs while 25°C remains viable if skies clear more than expected. Historical September highs average near 20°C, so this represents a modest positive anomaly, but forecast revisions ahead of the date could still shift probabilities as new observational data arrives.
