Recent official forecasts from sources including the Met Office and regional models project a peak temperature of 35–36°C in Madrid on September 15 under clear skies and light southwesterly winds, driven by a strong high-pressure ridge promoting intense solar heating and minimal cloud cover. This aligns with trader consensus favoring 36°C (53.5% implied probability) over 35°C (32.5%), as daytime maxima are expected near 5 pm local time amid dry conditions typical of early autumn. Historical September 15 highs average 26.6°C with a record of 34.3°C, but the current warm anomaly and lack of precipitation support elevated readings before cooler air arrives Wednesday. Model consensus remains stable ahead of final observational data.
