This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Masroor Airbase Station in degrees Celsius on 7 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Masroor Airbase Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/pk/karachi/OPKC. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Trader consensus around 33–34°C for Karachi’s August 7 maximum reflects ongoing southwest monsoon influences, with high humidity, frequent cloud cover, and coastal sea breezes limiting daytime heating along the Arabian Sea. Pakistan Meteorological Department guidance and recent observations indicate partly cloudy conditions with scattered showers possible through early August, keeping daily highs near long-term August averages of 32–34°C rather than allowing stronger solar heating that would push readings to 35°C or above. Minor model differences in predicted wind speed or convective timing explain the near-even split between the two leading outcomes, while lower probabilities for 32°C or below align with the low likelihood of persistent heavy rain suppressing temperatures further. Updated short-range forecasts from the Pakistan Meteorological Department expected in the next 24–48 hours will provide the key data shift for this market.
