Latest official guidance from the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau and consensus numerical weather models indicate a maximum temperature of 28–29°C on September 23 under mostly cloudy to overcast skies with light easterly flow, directly supporting the market’s leading implied probabilities of 50% for 28°C and 37.5% for 29°C. Persistent high pressure and minimal diurnal heating from reduced insolation keep the forecast tightly clustered, with limited upside potential absent unexpected clearing. Historical September maxima near 29°C provide context, while the two-day horizon means upcoming CMA updates and high-resolution model runs will drive any final adjustments in trader positioning.
