Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta on September 11 indicate a mostly sunny morning with highs in the lower 90s°F before a 50% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms develops, potentially limiting peak readings as clouds and outflow boundaries arrive. This timing uncertainty, combined with above-average early-September warmth and moderate southwesterly flow, explains the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 86–91°F. Key differentiating factors include convective initiation timing, boundary-layer moisture, and model spread in simulated instability, all of which could shift the daily maximum by several degrees depending on whether storms suppress heating before or after the typical afternoon peak. Updated model runs and NWS briefings in the next 48 hours will likely refine these probabilities.
