Latest National Weather Service and private model guidance for Atlanta on September 9 points to a high near 88–90 °F under mostly clear skies and light easterly flow, driving the near-even market split between the 88–89 °F and 90–91 °F bins. The city remains in a warmer-than-average regime after early-September highs in the mid-90s, yet a modest cooling trend and moderate humidity are limiting further intensification. Historical climatology shows a September 9 average high of 85 °F, so current conditions reflect residual warmth rather than extremes. Resolution depends on the official maximum recorded at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport; the next model runs and evening forecast updates will provide the final inputs before the market settles.
