Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources converge on overnight lows near 70–72°F for Atlanta on August 29, driven by a warm, moist air mass with dew points around 70°F that limits radiational cooling. Light easterly winds, patchy fog after midnight, and mostly cloudy skies further reduce temperature drops by suppressing clear-sky heat loss and vertical mixing. Historical August climatology shows typical minima near 71°F, but slight variations in cloud cover or isolated showers could shift the actual minimum by 1–2°F. Trader sentiment remains balanced across the 70–75°F range because the final low depends on precise timing of any clearing or precipitation in the pre-dawn hours, with next model updates expected to refine those details before resolution.
