Trader consensus on Polymarket prices a 99% "No" on Elon Musk acquiring Ryanair, anchored by EU aviation regulations mandating majority ownership by EU nationals or entities, barring Musk as a non-EU citizen from control despite his vast resources. The notion arose from Musk's January 2026 X poll—sparked by a Starlink installation feud with CEO Michael O'Leary—that briefly boosted Ryanair shares 4.5% but lacked follow-through, with no regulatory filings, board overtures, or funding signals in the three months since. Musk's priorities in Tesla autonomy, SpaceX launches, and xAI development further sideline such a $35 billion airline pivot. Only an improbable EU rule waiver or surprise partnership could shift odds before June 30 resolution.
