Persistent marine air and extensive cloud cover from an offshore upper-level low are keeping Seattle's September 12 high temperature suppressed, with official forecasts centering on 66–68 °F under mostly overcast skies and light northwest winds. Light rain or drizzle is possible later in the day, further limiting surface heating and differentiation between the closely matched 66–67 °F and 68–69 °F market bins. Any brief afternoon sun breaks or slight wind shifts could push readings into the low 70s, while sustained cloudiness and earlier precipitation would favor the mid-to-upper 60s. Historical September averages near 71 °F underscore how the current onshore flow and moisture have lowered the expected maximum relative to climatology, leaving traders focused on the precise timing of any clearing or showers in the final forecast updates.
