The 2026 Quebec general election, set for October 5 after the writ drop on August 27, features a tight contest in Lévis between incumbent CAQ MNA Bernard Drainville and Conservative candidate Karine Laflamme. Recent projections from aggregators place the two parties within a few points of each other amid broader provincial shifts following leadership changes at the CAQ. Local priorities such as transit infrastructure, highway expansion, and east-west connectivity continue to shape voter focus, with Parti Québécois, Liberal, and Québec solidaire candidates also on the ballot. The early campaign stage and absence of decisive polling separation sustain the close trader consensus reflected in current market pricing.
