Recent downward revisions from earlier 12°C guidance stem from an advancing low-pressure system enhancing cloud cover, which curbs solar insolation, while shower risks introduce evaporative cooling that could suppress temperatures toward 7-9°C. Differentiating factors include model ensemble spread on cloud breaks versus persistence, Lake Ontario's boundary-layer moderation, and frontal timing; genuine short-range uncertainty prevails absent decisive observations. The next Environment Canada update early April 4 will refine hourly guidance ahead of official station resolution.
