Persistent high pressure and clear skies over North Texas favor strong radiational cooling overnight but limit it to upper 70s given elevated dew points near 60–65 °F and light southeast winds. Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and ensemble guidance converge on a minimum of 79–82 °F for Dallas on August 29, consistent with the ongoing late-summer heat wave where daily lows have run 4–6 °F above the 1991–2020 average of 75 °F. Model spread and local urban effects around the DFW airport introduce modest uncertainty in the exact reading, keeping adjacent 5-degree bins near 25 % while rendering sub-72 °F or 90 °F+ outcomes far less likely under current atmospheric conditions.
