Forecast models from Environment Canada and others indicate a mild overnight period for Toronto on September 2, with the daily minimum likely falling between 18–21°C amid persistent cloud cover, scattered showers, and light southwesterly winds. These conditions limit radiative cooling compared to clearer skies, while high humidity and possible thunderstorm timing introduce variability in how far temperatures drop before dawn. The market’s near-even odds across 18–20°C outcomes reflect genuine model spread and sensitivity to small shifts in cloud timing or wind, against a climatological September baseline low near 16°C. Updated guidance ahead of the overnight hours will be the key near-term driver.
